For the final session of teachings on Chapter 3 of the ‘Precious Ornament of Liberation’, in the context of how to relate properly to our lama, Drupon Rinpoche encouraged us to reflect on how we treat those people in our lives who have been particularly kind to us. He urged us to do our very best to repay the kindness of our parents by visiting them and keeping in contact with them; and by speaking well of them, especially to their grandchildren.

Concluding the teachings from Chapter 3, Rinpoche briefly summarised the first three chapters.

His final advice was that we should do our best to change and improve our minds and, he said, if impermanence does not strike and all the causes and conditions come together, then he will continue to teach from Gampopa’s text next year. He finished with a reminder of the disciplined conduct necessary for receiving the Dharma. He said that if we wish to come, are willing to listen properly and attend all the sessions, we are welcome to join the teachings again next year.

A most inspiring and instructive two and a half weeks of precious teachings, guidance and retreat ended with a group photo being taken of Drupon Rinpoche, Lama Yeshe Rinpoche and students.
